The training will lead to an Institute of Leadership and Management qualification and will also include sessions aimed specifically at developing business and employment skills. Depending on your needs and the job you are currently doing, you will be offered either 4 or 6 days of training, if you meet our criteria to take the course.

ILM Level 2 - Award in Team Leading (4 Days)
The ILM Level 2 Award in Team Leading is geared to women having - or preparing for - their first experience of management.
This course has four units dealing with the most challenging issues for new managers and team leaders:
- Developing yourself as a team leader
- Motivating the team to perform
- Workplace communication
- Managing yourself
Plenty of time is set aside for tutorial support and for the additional business and employment skills sessions:
- Assertiveness
- Presenting a professional image
- Negotiating the promotion interview
This project extends until Summer 2009. The next Level 2 dates are:
- 17 & 18, 25 January & 1 February 2008

ILM Level 3 - Award in First Line Management (6 Days)
The ILM Level 3 Award in First Line Management is designed for owner-managers and serving or aspiring supervisors who have little or no formal management training.
This course has 4 units, which we have chosen to respond to the first-line managers’ most immediate learning needs:
- Solving problems and making decisions
- Organising and delegating
- Managing performance
- Influencing others at work
There will be plenty of time for tutorial support and for the business and employment skills sessions:
- Assertiveness
- Networking
- Presenting a Professional Image
This project extends until Summer 2009. The next courses are scheduled for:
- 7 & 8 January, 21 & 22 January,
- 30 January and 4 February 2008
- 18 & 19 February, 25 February & 4 March,
- 12 & 13 March 2008
