What business needs were you looking to address through training?

Our team are required to negotiate and influence business stakeholders on a daily basis – we work with business partners to initiate, plan and deliver reviews of business process & performance, and deliver recommendations / opportunities to change and realise business value and benefit, gaining commitment from the business area to deliver these changes. While a number of the team have a depth of experience in this, we wanted to create a baseline for approach, techniques and skill sets to bring everyone to the same point.

 

Why did you select Phoenix?

Phoenix were recommended to us by our Business Development team who had received sales / negotiation training from Phoenix Lead Consultant Anna Britnor Guest. I discussed our needs over the phone with Anna and Jenah (Client Relationship Manager) and was impressed with how quickly they understood our requirements and developed a training approach which was put to us within a matter of days. The proposed approach ‘hit the nail on the head’ and also provided the flexibility to adapt should we need to. Two days of workshops (approx. 1 month apart) were agreed on with the opportunity for team members to put new learned skills into practice between the sessions.

 

How are you / your team using what you learnt from the training to improve performance?

The team are in the process of embedding stakeholder interest mapping and other stages into the project cycle and are planning to use each other to help rehearse potentially challenging meetings.

 

What specific impact has this had on your business (in relation to your original business needs)?

The team now have a useful set of tools and techniques to apply to help plan for success in key meetings with stakeholders.

 

What would you say to other companies seeking to address similar needs?

Anna took my requirements and created a well-structured and engaging programme which ticked all the right boxes both for me and my team, and we are now in the process of embedding our learning in our modus operandi moving forwards. I would happily recommend her services to others who are seeking tailored delivery from a professional trainer who clearly knows their subject... The training was supported with a well put together and informative set of training materials which should provide a useful ongoing reference and aide memoire.
