Coaching Skills Training



Course Objective

To provide participants with a practical framework to understand their coaching role and to develop some of the skills necessary to be an effective coach. It assumes coaches have a "hands on" role and may be involved in resolving performance problems in their team or with colleagues.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand their role as coach
  • Understand some of the factors that affect how people learn
  • Identify learning needs
  • Set learning objectives
  • Put together a coaching plan
  • Run a coaching session to coach someone through a problem area
  • Follow up and evaluate coaching
