Consultancy Skills in Management Workshop



Course Objective

To provide participants with a range of consultancy approaches, tools and techniques when working with clients and give them the opportunities to practise on case studies, live situations and tasks. Participants will be asked to complete and return a pre-course questionnaire at least one week in advance of the course which will help set personal objectives and where possible influence the content in the programme.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Recognise the key stages of a consultancy assignment and adapt them to their own specialist areas
  • Manage expectations early on with the client
  • Identify the key ingredients of a proposal for consultancy services
  • Negotiate with clients to establish the boundaries of the assignment and achieve mutual benefit
  • Identify personal development needs regarding the provision of consultancy services
  • Recognise and build consensus amongst the key stakeholders and their different objectives
  • Solve problems collaboratively with the client
  • Develop their influencing style with clients
