Managing Change Workshop



Course Objective

Change management is now a recognised pre-requisite of good overall management in business and doing it well has become a critical aspect of sustainable competitive advantage. A successful business is one that can re-invent itself in the face of competitive pressures and cope with the ever-increasing requirement to respond to several agendas simultaneously, in terms of market trends, customer needs and stakeholder demands.

This Managing Change programme is designed to offer managers a broader perspective of change, to suggest a different approach and provide tools and techniques from 'Best Practice' for future adoption and use.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Explain why change needs to occur in organisations
  • Identify "Best Practice" in planning change
  • Describe how to lead teams through a period of change
  • Recognise barriers to change and their impact on personnel
  • Create strategies for overcoming resistance to change
  • Appreciate the complexity involved in change management
  • Use a series of tools and techniques to assist, introduce and monitor change
  • Deal with conflict in change scenarios
